www.ars.usda.gov/is/AR/archive/jul09/mites0709.htm why not use pheramones as bate to lure the varroa into some trapps who know what kind chemical lure the lab is trying to patent, not to mention how many years before the patent is aproved this is alink to more on varroa bait/kill aproach.
